About Us

Who We Are

Tia Stephanie Tours is built on more than 30 years of living and traveling in Mexico — not as a tourist, but as someone who speaks the language, knows the communities, and understands the culture from the inside out.

Stephanie Schneiderman

Born in Havana and raised in Mexico City, Stephanie brings a rare combination of cultural fluency and academic depth to every trip she leads. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations, a Certificate in Latin American and Caribbean Studies from Florida International University, and a Master's degree from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Stephanie has traveled extensively throughout Mexico, gaining access to off-the-path locations and communities that most visitors never see. When friends ask why she always goes back, her answer is simple: "Mexico is a vast country with so many diverse regions. You could spend a lifetime visiting and never see it all."

She invites you to share her passion for Mexico and its people — our neighbors to the south.

Susan has visited 43 countries on 6 continents, following a passion for travel that began long before her career in the industry. After decades working across retail, wholesale, print, and hospitality, she settled in Lake Chupala, Mexico in 2010.

Living in Mexico was a natural fit. Today she brings that firsthand knowledge to every traveler she works with, helping you get the most from your time in Latin America.

Our Travel Philosophy

We make thoughtful, purposeful choices about where we go and who we work with. A significant portion of what you spend with us goes directly into the cities, towns, and communities we visit — the hotels, restaurants, guides, and artisans who make each destination what it is.

Tourism represents Mexico's third-largest source of revenue, yet most of it flows to beach resorts. Our trips are different. We carefully select local partners who share our values: knowledgeable guides, experienced drivers, and artisans whose work deserves a wider audience. Your travel dollars are thoughtfully allocated within every destination we visit.
